If you’re based in Yorkshire and looking for a newborn, baby photographer or family photographer to create some beautiful but natural photographs of you all together, just being you guys, then you’re in the right place! My pricing for maternity, newborn, baby and family photography shoots is super simple and I offer two packages which are outlined below. A £50 deposit is required to secure your booking.

DOCUMENTING YOUR BABY’S FIRST YEAR | Yorkshire Baby Photographer
As you can no doubt tell from my MANY Yorkshire baby photographer galleries, I absolutely love to document the huge changes that babies go through in their first year of life. So much so that I offer a discount if you book more than one session during your little one’s first 12 months!
As with individual sessions all prices include the shoots themselves, either at your home or on location, and all edited images in both colour and black + white. I’ll send you a private online gallery and digital download of your images following each shoot. After your final shoot you will also receive the edited images from all of your sessions on a beautiful USB.
My favourite ages for baby photographs are newborn (up to 4 weeks), 3 months (when they get some head control!), 6 months (or when they can sit unaided) and 1 Year. I also include maternity shoots in these packages.
what to expect
My aim for any portrait shoot, whether maternity, baby or family, is for you to spend a happy and chilled-out hour or two laughing and having fun, with me there to capture you as you are. I’ll provide some guidance on where to stand/sit, and I have a few tricks for getting the most of of your little ones, but what I really want is to photograph you guys interacting and just being together.
Newborn shoots are a little more guided, but I still like to keep things really relaxed; lots of cuddles with mum and dad, plus I always try to get some of your little one on their own. These shoots are very much led by your baby and what they’re happy with, and they always take place at your home. I’ll look for rooms with the best light and often use the living room, your bedroom, and the nursery.
For maternity, older babies and families we can either do the shoot at your home or at an outdoor location of your choice – the park (Roundhay, Golden Acre, Valley Gardens Harrogate, and Rowntree Park in York all spring to mind!), some woodland (Otley Chevin or Middleton Woods Ilkley perhaps), the moors, a city centre. Anywhere you like if it’s somewhere you love going to together. Maternity shoots can feature just mum-to-be, or we can get dad involved, or the whole family!
I don’t have strict rules on what to wear, but I do recommend avoiding logos or recognisable cartoon characters – they tend to steal focus! Lighter colours can brighten up the photographs, and for family shoots it’s great if you can all wear an item in a similar colour, as it can really help bring you all together. For newborns and older babies at home I love light/neutral baby-grows and vests. But these are all just suggestions; the most important thing is that your comfortable, and that you feel like yourselves!
Your online gallery will be ready within 3-4 weeks of the shoot date, with all edited images in colour and black + white. Image numbers can vary depending on family sizes (and often the behaviour of the baby!), but I typically provide 40+ images.
You’ll also receive your images on a beautiful USB with personal printing rights, which I’ll post to you.
